# Turning Competition # # every day back, every day back, shoulder high and low shoulders - office workers daily "reach for money" EDC

Xiao Biao Note: This article comes from the #Doubling Contest# writing event. It was a forced turnaround for the EDC (Every Day Carry) gathering activity, which turned out to be quite popular. Not only is it fun, but EDC is also an attitude and culture. Show off your daily carry and have a chance to win FIIL headphones and good manners. There's also a special reward for original creators—didn't write something original? Majue's ~

I wrote about boxers in the previous issue. I didn’t expect that my friends really liked the 360° full-body rendering style. I feel it's worth trying again. Thank you for the support! Recently, I planned to write a review of items under 100 yuan, but because work has been busy, taking photos of dozens of different brands of clothes would take too long. I decided to write this during the weekend. Today, I had some free time, so I responded to Teacher Wang’s #Turning Contest# with a smile. O(∩_∩)O Haha~

I. About EDC EDC refers to the things we carry every day. Zhang Da Ma once shared various EDC setups, and I personally enjoy seeing how others live through their daily carry. In contrast, my EDC is more minimalistic. I follow two simple rules: 1. "ID card, phone, keys, and wallet" – these are must-haves, always put in a bag and taken with me; 2. Reduce weight and avoid carrying items that aren't used frequently. II. My Daily EDC 1. Here’s a picture of my current EDC setup. In the past, I carried a dog clip and a charging power bank, but later realized: - Dog clip: Rarely used. When I go diving or traveling, I dream of being in the sky. But I'm just sitting in the office now. So I got rid of it. - Charging power bank: After buying a backup phone with strong battery life, I no longer worry about running out of power. I’ve since abandoned it. 2. I don’t like having a bulky phone purse in my pants, so I always use a backpack. This one is an ONA camera bag. I didn’t do much research when I bought it, but I heard there were many fake foreign products. However, I went with the sleek design and nice texture. Now I've gotten used to it and it's become my daily carry. According to the style of the article I wrote, here's the first upper body shot. This shoulder bag has been used for almost three years. It's pretty rough, and the top opening is often folded. The canvas edges have developed cracks over time, and I've done a couple of DIY wax treatments, which you can see. Now the bag looks like the clothing of a garage worker — stained with all sorts of oily marks. I comfort myself by saying this is part of the experience. Despite the wear and tear on the canvas, the leather strap and brass hardware still look great. The inner layer has a cotton protective cover and a detachable Velcro divider, making it easy to organize. At first, I used it to carry an SLR camera, storing one camera and one lens. Later, I stopped using the SLR and started using the bag as a daily carry. Phones, wallets, and keys fit easily without any pressure. 2. I always carry two phones. Fortunately, I use a shoulder bag, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to handle the feeling of two phones in my pocket. My main phone is the iPhone 6P (16GB), and my backup is the Nut Pro (64GB). If it weren’t for my love of simplicity, the iPhone wouldn’t be my choice. After years of use, it still runs smoothly, which is hard to beat. Of course, 16GB isn’t enough, and I need more storage, which is why I bought the backup phone. I've always preferred bare metal phones with smooth, rounded edges that feel comfortable in hand. I avoid phone cases to keep the original feel, but I can't avoid scratches. There are visible dents, but I don’t care — as long as it works, I’ll keep it forever. My hands sweat a lot, and by the end of the day, the phone is covered in fingerprints. I chose the Nut Pro for its fast charging and bright appearance, though the edges are a bit uncomfortable after long use. I even bought a portable stand to improve the experience. Because the Nut Pro lasts longer, I set it to sleep after 30 minutes and use the stand on my desk. It helps with work tasks like checking stock movements. After three years, it's still reliable, and although it's lost nearly 30% of its value, it still holds up well. 3. Because of my job, I have to dress formally five days a week. I chose a Citizen watch, which my younger brother brought back from Japan. It costs around a thousand yuan and is very cost-effective. The dial is durable and doesn’t require frequent maintenance like a mechanical watch. It’s perfect for office workers who just need to keep track of time. 4. My wallet was a gift from my sister. I couldn’t find it online, so it might be imitation leather. I usually protect it inside the bag, and it shows some signs of wear, but the small hole in the card slot is already broken. Thanks to mobile payments, I rarely carry cash. Instead, it’s full of ID cards, bank cards, shopping cards, fitness cards, swimming cards, and laundry cards. 5. The above items — the bag, phone, and wallet — are must-haves. The following two are optional, depending on the situation. (1) Yu Bo 20000 mAh power bank. Since I bought a backup phone, the need to charge my phone regularly has decreased, so I only bring it on long trips. Otherwise, I don’t carry it. Why not bring the power bank? It’s big and heavy. With two phones already in my bag, I think it's better to leave it behind. (2) A GoPro. It’s like a Kindle — a device that’s likely to gather dust. I only go on a few diving trips a year. If you don’t like recording your life, think twice before buying it. Even though I rarely use my GoPro, I can’t bear to sell it. After all, when my friends and colleagues travel, they always think of me... “GoPro, do you have one?” I’m happy to lend it out. Sometimes, female friends even ask me to help edit videos when I’m too lazy to do it myself. III. Conclusion These days, city life is flat and stressful. There's little time for leisure, and sports are just a way to cope. My biggest wish now is to recover my stock market losses through my writing. ㄒoㄒ)/~~ Thank you for reading. I hope everyone makes more money and finds happiness in their minds. Goodbye!
