What Does the 1uA Current Test Small Voltage Mean?
Published: November 15, 2017 Source: External Station
When testing semiconductor devices, especially in series with materials, a current of 1uA is often used to measure the voltage across the chip. In such cases, the measured voltage typically ranges between 3.8V and 5.4V.
Additionally, for a current of 3uA, the corresponding voltage on the card usually falls between 0.5V and 1.2V. When the current increases to 5mA, the voltage range is generally 0.6V to 1.2V.
Now, the first type of test—using 1uA—has been around for a long time. But what about the other two scenarios? Are they less common or more specific in application?
Who can provide a professional explanation? Under what conditions does this voltage increase occur? What is the underlying principle behind these measurements?
It's worth noting that the 1uA test voltage of 3.8–5.4V actually corresponds to a single crystal 1uA card with a voltage range of 1.9–2.7V. Typically, when we perform the card test offline, the line isn't required. However, for 3mA and 5mA tests, the details are less clear, and there aren’t many products that pass through this stage successfully.
If you're working with low-current testing or have encountered similar situations, feel free to share your experiences or ask further questions. Understanding these parameters is crucial for accurate device evaluation and performance analysis.
