OBS network topology and network management
The topology and network management of the OBS network are shown in Figure 1. The network includes OBS core switching node equipment and OBS edge node equipment. Edge nodes are connected to the core node using DWDM links.
OBS network management system adopts centralized management, that is, all nodes are controlled with one console. The manager (Manager) is implemented on a workstation or a high-performance PC. It is responsible for providing a friendly human-machine interface to control, parameterize, and alarm process many functions of the network element node equipment. The agent uses an embedded design, and burns the agent software directly in the node device of the network element. Under the SNMP protocol, the manager accesses the agent remotely through the IP network to achieve the role of managing and monitoring the node device.
In the network management system of OBS network, this paper implements embedded SNMP Agent. The following describes the implementation of the design of the embedded SNMP Agent in conjunction with the system.
