Hsinchu City, Taiwan took the lead in enabling LED street lights

Hsinchu City, Taiwan took the lead in enabling LED street lights Recently, the government of Hsinchu, Taiwan, replaced the old streetlights with more power-saving LED light bulbs, and it has reached 65% effective energy saving. It is estimated that the annual savings of NT$11.11 million in electricity costs, 3,824 tons of carbon reduction, equivalent to 2.67 million Square meter forest greening effect.

Vice Mayor You Jianhua of Hsinchu City had a symbolic start on the 9th with Wang Yunming, deputy director of the Energy Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Hu Yaozu, deputy director of the Institute of Green Energy Technology of the Industrial Technology Research Institute, and Jiang Wenxing, general manager of the Solid State Lighting Department, and Chen Qiyuan, a member of the Hsinchu City Council. The LED street lamp officially announced that Hsinchu City has become the first city in Taiwan to complete the LED street light.

You Jianhua said that Hsinchu City is one of the LED street lamp demonstration cities selected by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and is the fastest city to complete the replacement of street lamps. Hsinchu City placed great emphasis on the implementation of the energy conservation and carbon reduction policy after Mayor Xu took office, and began to promote low-carbon city plans. The first phase of Hsinchu City was completed before the end of June 2013, and more than 7,000 street lamps have fully renewed LED street lamps. There are more than 20,000 street lights in the city and they hope to be fully updated during Mayor's term of office.

Wang Yunming, deputy director of the Energy Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, said that reducing energy and reducing carbon are the challenges and work we have to face. Taiwan's lighting power consumption is about 26.5 billion kWh in 1 year, and it occupies 11-12% of the electricity. Among them, some of the street lights also account for about 10% of the lighting power. Therefore, if they can be replaced with high-efficiency streetlights, they can save. The energy is quite considerable.

According to Jiang, general manager of Delta solid-state lighting division, the performance of the “Low-carbon Lohas City Project” proposed by Hsinchu City in recent years is obvious to all. Delta Group is proud to work with the Hsinchu City Government to make it energy-efficient and sleek. LED street lamps replace old street lamps to create energy-saving and bright lighting environments for Hsinchu residents.

As LCD display in YFJ company that we usually use it to military grade battery ,especially Lithium-ion batteries ,for these battery applications ,we have obvious advantage is that we focus more on shor circuit protection which we follow the US military standard.

Short circuit protection:The following test shall be performed. Charge batteriesas specified in  ; use of 4.6.3 is permitted. Measure and record the OCV. Short each battery across all the positive and negative terminals with a total external resistance not greater than 50 milliohms. After one hour remove the short from across the terminals. Measure and record the OCV. Stabilize batteries at the normal conditions of 4.3.1 for not less than 2 hours. Chargebatteries in accordance with 4.6; use of 4.6.3 is permitted. Stabilize batteries at normal conditions for not less than 2 hours, then discharge the battery in accordance with 4.7.2.3. The battery shall meet the requirements of 3.7.2.3.
