How to copy monitoring data in video recorder

How to copy monitoring data in video recorder Without personally testing the performance of the DVR, you cannot understand that each DVR has its own "site." In terms of the hard disk in the DVR, a hard disk only looks for a video recorder, and uses the same hard disk to connect with two different DVRs respectively, and then the video images recorded in the value will be formatted.

Is this hard disk incompatibility or DVR ghosting? For this reason, I did different tests to see which equipment requirements.

The first step: hard disk initialization

In the monitoring system, we regard the DVR as the host of the PC, and the hard disk is equivalent to the most common storage medium. Different from computer format hard disk, I used the most common SSD hard disk. I just used a computer to format it. When connected to a DVR, the system will automatically prompt the initial message configuration. According to testing, whenever the recorder recognizes a new hard disk or reboots, it will be initialized. And whether or not there is data in the hard disk will be reformatted by the DVR again.

Formatting data for security?

Does the DVR need to format the hard disk every time is considering data security? DVR "obsessive-compulsive disorder" is only looking for the video format under this mechanism. It's like using a hard disk that hasn't written data yet. It has to divide the hard disk into blocks according to its own format so that data can be written to it. This way of processing data is completely different from that of a computer. DVR "site" consciousness arises spontaneously.

Step 2: Customize Video Recording

According to the needs of different users, recorded videos are also divided into different modes. Manually recording video can save storage space, record the video content that the user wants to see, the time and length are set by the user, and automatic video recording is divided into two types. One is a real-time full recording mode, and 7*24 hours full-record video; The other is based on the alarm trigger mode, which can be called semi-automatic intelligent recording. Once the alarm area is different from the safe state, the image is burned and the image is recorded. After the normal state is restored, it is in the non-recording mode.

The third step: copy data with U disk

According to the PC hard disk mode, the video data is recorded to the hard disk, and the video can be copied to the computer through the USB interface. In fact, DVR's "site" awareness lies in the management of data. If you connect a hard disk recording surveillance video directly to a computer, the information on the hard disk cannot be displayed on the computer. To open the hard disk, you must format it. Obviously this direct copy video method is not desirable.

The role played by the DVR in the monitoring system is to manage the video data. When backing up the video data, it must be operated through the DVR. Most hard disk video recorders include two USB ports, one of which is for the user to connect a USB flash drive to back up data in the DVR.

After plugging in the U disk, the device can be found under the data backup menu. In this case, all the video data that meet the conditions can be selected according to the time. All videos can be selected or selected during a certain period of time. After the backup is clicked, it is copied to a USB flash drive.

Step 4: Find the video you need

Maybe someone will be surprised, not even find a video to live on. However, different DVRs record video in different locations. Read through the PC to open the USB drive information, some video is stored directly in the first directory; and the author tests some manufacturers of video images backup, will create a separate folder, the video information is stored in the corresponding folder. Some people back up the data and can't find the video. See if you care?

DVRs of different manufacturers have different formats when storing video information. Some videos can directly pass through players of Storm Video, QQ Video, and some videos require a fixed player. In fact, this mystery lies in the codec, because the DVR video is compressed, different compression systems choose different decoders.

Most of the videos can be broadcasted by mainstream players. However, during playback, the playback software will also download the necessary encoders. This confirms that the video format of the surveillance system is not the same as the mainstream video format. Of course, if you want to take the video out and import it directly into your computer, it is not possible because the DVR has a strong sense of “protection”.

Editing summary

Different manufacturers' DVRs and hard disks have strict security for video data security. To copy to surveillance video, you need to operate the monitoring system skillfully. If you want to use a hard disk to record different DVR video information, I am afraid that the incompatibility is not the hard disk, but the system of various manufacturers.
