The photoelectric sensor has an NPN type output type (current inflow) and a PNP output type (current outflow). When the current flowing out of the sensor (PNP output type) is turned on, the current flows from the power source through the sensor output. Go to the load, enter the load, and then flow to the ground. When the current flowing in (NPN output type) sensor is turned on, the current flows from the power supply through the load to the output of the sensor, then to the ground (GND), and finally to the ground (GND) of the system.
PNP and NPN sensors generally have three lead wires, that is, power line VCC, GND, OUT signal output line.
1, NPN class
NPN means that when a signal is triggered, the signal output line OUT is connected to GND, which is equivalent to the OUT output low level.
2, PNP class
PNP means that when there is a signal trigger, the signal output line OUT and VCC are connected, which is equivalent to the power line of the OUT output high level.
