After some research and testing, I found out that the MT500 uses a dot matrix font system, which isn't as smooth or professional-looking as other options. However, the newer models like the MT6000 or MT8000 series can access Windows-based fonts, giving users more flexibility and better visual results. It's recommended to use the latest series of Weilun touchscreens if you're looking for improved font rendering. Also, avoid using fonts and background colors that are too similar, as this can reduce readability. You can also increase the font size slightly for better visibility. I've used the MT8000 series for several projects, and the font display is excellent. If you want even more font options, you can copy Windows font files into the MT8000's font directory. This allows you to use custom fonts and greatly enhances the visual experience. I'm not sure if other touchscreens have this capability, but for Weilun products, this method works well. It’s definitely worth trying if you're looking for better typography on your screen.
