Hisense 4K Laser TV New L6
On November 23, Hisense held a major event in Beijing, where they officially launched the new S6 and L6 4K laser TV models. These latest additions to their product lineup are designed to offer consumers an enhanced viewing experience with improved brightness, color accuracy, and smart features.
The L6 series is available in screen sizes of 80, 88, and 100 inches, featuring a screen brightness of 350 nits, which significantly improves performance in well-lit environments. The color gamut coverage reaches 116% under the BT.709 standard, offering richer and more vibrant colors. Additionally, the L6 series supports HDR imaging and 120Hz MEMC motion compensation, ensuring smoother video playback and better picture quality.
One notable feature of the L6 series is the integration of sound directly into the laser projector. This design was developed in collaboration with Harman Kardon, resulting in superior audio performance. A wireless subwoofer is also included, reducing the size by 60% compared to previous generations while delivering deep bass down to 40Hz.
In terms of smart functionality, the L6 runs on the VIDAA operating system, supporting a wide range of services such as online streaming, home karaoke, fitness programs, educational content, and even e-commerce through the TV. It’s a versatile all-in-one solution for modern households.
Meanwhile, the S6 series features a sleek metal body and comes in larger sizes, including 120 and 150 inches. With a lens life of over 20,000 hours, it offers long-term reliability and value.
Currently, the L6 series is available in China and the U.S., while the S6 model is expected to launch later this year. However, pricing details were not disclosed during the event.
Hisense has also emphasized its strong position in the laser TV industry, having mastered the entire production chain. Unlike traditional LCD and OLED technologies, laser TVs offer better scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The company plans to continue investing in laser TV technology to further improve performance and user experience.
