iPad mini will help iPad sales double

According to Apple Insider, a technology website, Apple iPad's total sales volume reached 100 million units in two and a half years. Some analysts said that because of the iPad mini, iPad sales will exceed 100 million units in the next year alone.

Canaccord Genuity analyst Michael Walkley predicts that Apple will sell 101.6 million iPads in 2013, with a 58.4% share in the tablet PC market. This means that Apple iPad sales will double in just one year.

Earlier this month, Apple announced that its iPad sales have exceeded 100 million. The first-generation iPad debuted in March 2010, and Apple has dominated the tablet market since then. Walkley believes that Amazon will sell 10.7 million tablets in 2013 and Samsung expects to sell 8.4 million.

Walkley also expects Apple to sell 193.9 million iPhones in 2013.
