In 2013, companies collectively launched OLED or officially marketed this year?

Recently, at the 2013 CES Global Consumer Electronics Show, information was revealed. With the advent of the color TV era, 4K, the next-generation display technology OLED TV, is attracting the attention of the industry. Samsung and LG have clearly stated that they will launch OLED TVs in China in 2013. OLED will become the first theme of the global color TV in 2013.

OLED, 4K convergence era is coming, most international manufacturers said that OLED TV will be available in 2013, but due to the low price, some domestic manufacturers aim at 4K LCD TV, in addition to 4Kx2K ultra-high resolution LCD TV, OLED camp will also be launched 4K high-end OLED TV.

This time, Sony announced that it has cooperated with AUO to launch the world's largest and the world's first OLED TV. In addition, AUO will cooperate with Toshiba, Vizio, Hisense, Skyworth and other manufacturers to develop ultra-high-definition television.

Boswei, secretary-general of the China Internet of Things Association, pointed out: "A new wave of technological changes, future home appliances will be an important channel for end users to obtain enterprise services. At present, smart TVs are in the stage of OLED and 4K integration. Home appliances will pass smart home products and industry convergence."

At the CES show, Hisense announced the launch of U-LED technology. Haixin News spokesperson Yu Haitao said: "Large-screen high-definition and intelligent applications are the main driving direction of Hisense at this CES. Hisense has released its own core new technology ULED at CES. ULED technology products are also the products that Hisense will launch this year." It is understood that the U-LED launched by Hisense is actually another expression of 4K ultra-high definition TV.

OLED technology is costly, and if there are no new technological breakthroughs, it will be difficult to popularize in the short term. Although the display effect of U-LED is different from that of OLED screen, it greatly exceeds the ordinary LED screen, and its cost is low, which has a strong competitive advantage. Yu Haitao said that OLED industrialization will take at least three to five years.

Lin Maoxiang, Chairman of Changhong Multimedia, said: "The development of smart TV technology needs to be mature. The future development must overcome the cumbersome operation and limited application. 4K Ultra HD is the development direction. Color TV enterprises need to supply panel manufacturers, chip manufacturers and content. Businesses are integrated to form a complete industrial ecosystem."

"OLEDs will become the trend of next-generation display technology, but since the popularity of OLEDs depends on the reliability and price rationality of new technologies, it will take at least three years for the whole machine manufacturers to focus on cost-effective U-LEDs." Dean of the hospital, Xu Xuwei pointed out.

LG Display CEO Han Xiangfan said that the launch of the world's first 55-inch OLED TV marked the beginning of the OLED era. In order to achieve the goal of mass production of OLED panels in 2014, LG will finalize the investment plan for increasing OLED production lines as soon as possible.

A person in charge of the public relations department of Samsung China said: "Suzhou LCD panel factory will become the main force for the company to provide OLED production capacity in China, and it will take time for Samsung OLED TV to mass production."

When will OLEDs be truly market-oriented? Liu Buchen, an observer of the home appliance industry, said: "2013 can be called the first year of OLED, which is a year in which OLED is officially going to market. At present, the main problem of OLED is that the price is too high and the panel supply capacity is insufficient."

"International companies will collectively launch OLEDs in 2013, and bundle smart, 3D and 4K on OLEDs. OLED stands for the development direction of color TV display technology, and China has no substantial accumulation here. Chinese companies are on new display technologies. Still need to seek a breakthrough." Liu Buchen pointed out.

Energy saving: LED lamp can save energy consumption cost of more than 70%.
