Unreal is one of the most popular game engines in game development and it has become the basis of popular VR content, such as "Robo Recall." Now, Unreal Engine has integrated NVIDIA's VRWorks support. The components and functions of VRWorks have been adopted by many areas of the VR industry, and as a set of APIs, libraries and engines to achieve the ultimate high-end graphics performance.

With integrated support from VRWorks, Unreal developers can use Lens Matched Shading, Single Pass Stereo, and Multi-res Shading. Each new feature has its own advantages. For example, Lens Matched Shading can use Invista Pascal hardware to optimize multi-resolution coloring by ensuring that the frame buffer matches the display pixel rate for optimal performance. Another new feature that can use Pascal hardware is Single Pass Stereo (single channel Stereo), which can free up geometric bandwidth and reduce resource requirements.
The new VR SLI allows developers to take advantage of PC settings for multiple graphics cards to handle visually demanding scenes. After equipped with the second graphics card, the PC development platform can provide twice the performance; and with three graphics cards will be able to provide more than 2.8 times the performance.
