The top eight TV manufacturers in mainland China went to Taiwan to jointly purchase LCD panels

According to industry insiders, the top eight LCD TV manufacturers in mainland China will arrive in Taiwan on July 12. The procurement group will be organized by China Video Industry Association (CVIA: China Video Industry Association) to purchase TFT LCD panels for LCD TVs. And LED backlight products. The total trade volume is expected to exceed the previous forecast of $5.3 billion.

The top eight vendors to Taiwan include Haier, Hisense, Skyworth, TCL, Changhong, Konka, Xoceco and Panda Electronics.

Key enterprises visiting Taiwan include AUO, CIC and CPT. Sources pointed out that TV manufacturers are requesting access to LED chip makers Epistar and Everlight Electronics. According to sources, in 2010, sales of LED TVs in mainland China are expected to increase from 100,000 units in 2009 to 10-15 million units.
