First, define the concept of light source, replaceable light source and non-replaceable light source
Version 8 of IEC 60598-1 adds the concept of light sources, replaceable light sources and non-replaceable light sources. An alternative light source is defined as a lamp that provides a lamp head in accordance with IEC 60061, or a light source intended to be connected by a terminal block, connector or the like, and is intended to be replaced during normal use or maintenance of the lamp. Note 1: Examples of replaceable light sources are all lamps with a cap. Note 2: Built-in LED modules in accordance with IEC 62031 are considered as alternative light sources.

An irreplaceable light source is defined as a light source that is not replaceable by a luminaire, or that cannot be replaced by a light source, or that is enclosed in a casing that is fixed by a screw or similar fixture and that is intended to be opened only once.

2. The manufacturer of the lamp that cannot replace the light source has the obligation to inform the user.
The life of a luminaire with a replaceable light source depends on the control of the light, not on the light source, since the light source is replaceable, and if the light source is broken, the luminaire can continue to be used after the light source is replaced. The life of a lamp that cannot replace a light source depends on the control device and the light source of the lamp, and to some extent depends on the life of the light source. If the light source reaches the end of its life, the lamp that cannot replace the light source will not be used and will be discarded.

Manufacturers of luminaires that are not replaceable light sources have an obligation to inform the user. For luminaires with non-replaceable light sources, the instructions should include the following information: "The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; once the light source needs to be replaced (if the light source is at the end of its life), the entire luminaire should be replaced."

Third, the structure

1. In order to avoid the use of conventional lamp heads, the conventional lamp does not require a lampholder to add a new paragraph to the lampholder requirements of the structure as follows: use a lamp intended to be connected to a lamp holder or connector in accordance with IEC 60061, without the associated lamp holder or connection It is not allowed to make electrical connections in other ways (such as by soldering wires directly to the pins).

Compliance is checked by the following tests:
All luminaire components close to the light source should be opened or removed. Parts that may be opened by hand or with a tool should be removed. Access to the opening requires destruction of any component, sealed, glued or embedded obstacles that do not open. Obstructions that are permanently deformed when opened and that do not allow the luminaire to be reinstalled in the correct manner, do not open.

Parts that are designed to be screwed and that are only shaped once and that cannot be unscrewed with a tool are not opened.

After removing all parts, you should not touch live parts. The accessibility of live parts shall be checked using test fingers and test methods specified in Chapter 8 of this standard.

Fourth, make changes to the light source to replace the light, emphasizing the replacement of the light of the replaceable light source
The clauses specifically related to the amendments are 4.7.2, 7.2.1 and 8.2.1, which have requirements for opening the luminaire to replace the light source.
