2 Ã— 15W power amplifier circuit with minimum peripheral components (TDA1521)

The high-fidelity power amplifier IC TDA1521A is used to make the power amplifier circuit, which has the characteristics of few peripheral components, no need to debug, and it will ring when installed. Suitable for self-made, used for power connection of Walkman, or used to transform low-end computer active speakers.
The TDA1521A adopts a nine-pin single-in-line Plastic package, which has the characteristics of high output power, small gain difference between the two channels, no impact sound of the switch speaker and reliable overheating, overload and short circuit protection. The TDA1521A can be powered by both positive and negative power supplies or a single power supply. The circuit principles are shown in Figure 1 (a) and (b), respectively. When the dual power supply is used, two audio output capacitors can be omitted, and the high and low sound quality is better. When single power supply is used, the power supply filter capacitor should be as close as possible to the power supply terminal of the integrated circuit to avoid self-excitation inside the circuit. When manufacturing, the heat sink must be installed on the integrated block to enable the power test, otherwise the integrated block will be easily damaged. The heat sink should not be smaller than 200 Ã— 100 Ã— 2mm 3 .
