As the bear baby grew day by day, by September it was time to start school. In order for the baby to walk just a few steps, the family decided to move to a house closer to the school. Of course, after the move, I had to say goodbye to my big study. Now, my entire workspace has shrunk from a 25-square-meter room down to a tiny desk that takes up only 0.7 square meters. This move has been going on for over six years... Goodbye, big study!

For a house of 95 square feet, I would love to live with five people. I dream of having a separate study room that's completely self-contained, but not having a desk at all is simply inhumane. So I chose the hallway—yes, no mistake, the hallway. Like this...
Can't see clearly? Let me explain again. This study, or rather, this desk, is located right at the entrance of the master bedroom, next to the living room.

Despite the small space and various little annoyances, it's still a peaceful corner that belongs solely to me. Especially when everyone else is asleep at night, I can still find a moment of quiet and calm.
Back to the home office setup, I still prefer using multiple light sources. I've been using a Panasonic lamp, which claims to have some "hallucinogenic" features. After two months of use (and no hallucinations so far), compared to my old Yamada Z10, there are definitely some shortcomings. For example, the brightness is much lower, and the lighting range barely covers most of the desk. That said, value is subjective. Personally, I think it's still worse than the Yamada model. However, since I made the choice, there are also some pros. First, the build quality is better than many domestic brands—metallic materials and a solid feel. Second, the dual-arm design allows for more flexible movement and adjustable lighting areas, something many similar lamps lack. Although many lamps use touch dimming, the Panasonic model has an added feature: adjustable color temperature. It's great for reading, working, and even adjusting the blue light in your environment. Lastly, it has a USB port, which is handy for charging my phone.
I also chose Ma Yunjia’s American-style lamps, which feature three glass balls in the center, giving it a unique texture. I really like this style. The materials include resin, glass, metal, and a hemp lampshade.

My PC is still just a monitor plus the tower. No need to elaborate further—if you're interested, check out the original post.
However, the narrow space couldn’t fit the large S1000 walker before. To keep up appearances, I placed the SoundMini I bought long ago under the monitor. At least it gives the illusion of having some value (outside of that, there's a protective cover for Ma Yunjia). Well, I admit I like wearing a jacket. The sound quality is decent, though. The only downside is that it requires a battery, which is a bit inconvenient. Ugh…
To survive in such a tight space, I had to get creative. The chassis and printer are stacked together, and even the reader is stuck on the side. When I need to use it, I have to bend down and fumble around in the dark. Hey, my old back gets some exercise too.
The outlets had to be arranged on the table as well.
There are also the usual complaints about the bags, with seams neatly tucked away here.
The keyboard, since it's not a proper computer desk, is just stuck in a drawer. But I do take it out when needed.
Nothing seemed easy to say otherwise. In the end, I came to the most controversial part. Since my desk faces the front door, it felt inappropriate. So I found a way to hide it. I put up a man-made banana tree from Ma Yun’s place in front of the table. Because of this weird decision, I got plenty of criticism from my family. If they could control me, they would. But I just can't help it—I like to wear a jacket. The sound quality is good enough. The only downside is that I have to recharge the battery. That’s a bit annoying.
Well, I’ve said enough. No matter how ridiculous it sounds, I just have to endure it. I hope he can understand that I lost hundreds of millions for him. … (Yes, the Yamada Z10n was taken by him.)
BTW, if anyone asked where I bought the mat, just search “business desk pad desk pad writing desk mat computer desk mouse pad mouse pad large thick no smell pad†on Taobao.
