Cree (NASDAQ: CREE) announces the introduction of CLQ6A RGBW (red/green/blue/white) LEDs to expand its leading architectural lighting class LED series.
The CLQ6A is the first individually controllable 1 W RGBW LED in its class to offer new designs that were previously not possible. The 4-in-1 CLQ6A LED provides a single point source for superior optical control, efficient color mixing and simplified design, helping lighting manufacturers deliver beautiful and differentiated architectural lighting solutions.

The CLQ6A is available in a 5 mm x 5.2 mm package and provides 8.2 lm blue, 30 lm green, 14 lm red, and 25 lm white at 100 mA. This is a 7-fold increase in brightness compared to the same four-in-one LED used for architectural lighting without an optimized design.
Cree also offers the PC Amber product option to expand its CLX6F family in a 3.4 mm x 3.5 mm package with 23 lm light output at 105 mA. These new LEDs offer unique design options and extend the portfolio of Cree's existing architectural lighting applications, including high-power XLamp XQ-A, XQ-E, XP-E2 and XM-L color LEDs.
